cures to insomnia
i ran across this article which hv a few steps in curing insomnia..hope it works!
k..i juz realise that ther r 3 types of insomnia…
type 1:hv difficulty in falling asleep
type 2:fall asleep easily but wake up too early
type 3: fall asleep wif difficulty or easily but then wake up frequently
i m da first type…i find it real difficult to fall asleep esp when i hv exams or tests..partly its bcos of my sleeping habits ( hv been taking naps in da evening) n force myself to go to bed far too early than usual cos wanna be well prepared for test…aih…but usually ended up frustrated cos trying hard to fall asleep…well, the best way is to keep urself relax!! not tense or worry!
here r a few steps to cure insomnia;
1.try to go to bed at da same time every nite..
2. cut back on coffee, tea , n soft drink(eg coke) …they contain caffeine..Most colored soft drinks contain enuf caffeine to keep u awake!! beside, soft drinks r fattening..hehe
3.hv a glass of warm milk bout 30 min b4 bed-time..
4. listen to calm soothing musix that will transfrom ur mind n body into deep relax state.
5. take a warm bath b4 bedtime.
6. get a comfortable bed n pillow
7. avoid NAPS!!( cant keep myself from doing that)
8.exercise help with normal sleep patterns. dont exercise within an hour b4 going to bed
9.visualize urself in a very peaceful place when ur in bed. (i hv tried this b4, it only work once in a while)
10.establish a bed time ritual b4 goin to sleep
11. dont read or do any stimulating activities b4 going to bed
advice from me, get urself away from ur book if thats da last thing u do b4 sleep…do smt relaxing…or else, u ll end up thinking bout da stuff u read in da book IN UR SLEEP! i hv encounter that a few times…recently was when i went rite into bed after doing income tax…ended up figuring out da income tax in my sleep..iissshh…i should be dreaming bout my dream guy or prince charming la..not INCOME TAX…lol
